Each battery module is equipped with front panel LEDs to provide battery status to include Power On, Charging, and Discharge states and a battery capacity meter for visual indication of charge level. The battery module includes a battery disconnect protection circuit that removes the battery from all circuit connections when not in use. This circuit disconnect removes all discharge paths to allow the battery to maintain its charge for storage and protects the battery module from slow micro volt discharging which can damage the battery chemistry.
